Thank you for your interest in the Hospital Network! We believe that you shouldn’t go it alone, and that there should be a place where you can find support, resources, and the ability to ask questions and receive answers from other experts in the field. We happen to have a place where you can find ALL of that, it’s called the Hospital Network and we invite and encourage all members from our American Heart Association/The Joint Commission certified centers to join.
ABOUT THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION AND THE JOINT COMMISSION:
The American Heart Association and The Joint Commission have collaborated since 2003 to develop certifications that support the latest evidence-based science throughout the system of care. We also work to provide value-added benefits to those hospitals that choose to become certified using this path, including the online hospital network, that go beyond the certification itself.
The American Heart Association is involved in certifications of hospitals for very simple reasons – to improve patient outcomes and the standard of care. The American Heart Association is directly involved in the development and maintenance of certifications in collaboration with The Joint Commission. We collaborate with The Joint Commission to create certification standards and performance measurement requirements to ensure that our rigorous science standards are consistently met.
The Hospital Network and other value-added benefits and services such as educational webinars, a patient tool-box and other resources, additional consultation and collaboration with our Quality Improvement consultants are intrinsic to the value of our programs with The Joint Commission.
